The Court Section of the Medicine Hat Police Service at the current time is a one person position known as the Court Liaison Officer.

The Court Liaison Officer is required to review all Criminal Code Charge reports. The Court Liaison Officer also works closely with Provincial Court, Alberta Attorney General office, Probatioin Offices, Medicine Hat Remand Centre, Lawyers and any other Law orientated organization.

Entries made onto the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) are
also monitored by the Court Liaison Officer.
