INHALANTS are gases or vapors that are inhaled to produce psychoactive (mind-altering) drug effects.

Many people do not think of these products as harmful or deadly substances because many are common items used for household and commercial use. Some inhalants are cleaning fluids, gasoline, airplane glue, nail-polish remover, hair sprays, paints and cooking sprays.

Inhalants can cause:
Rapid and irregular heartbeat
Loss of sense of smell
Nausea
Nosebleeds
Liver, lung, kidney problems
Muscle loss, reduced muscle tone and strength
Suffocation, choking on vomit, heart attack
Sudden Death - They can kill you instantly.
