Law Enforcement Torch Run

2007 was the first year that the MHPS participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Ride for Alberta Special Olympics. We had 6 cyclists ride from here to Edmonton in a 24 hour period.

This year marks the 5th anniversary of this event in Alberta and the 2nd year for the Medicine Hat Leg.

To date this event has raised over $250,000 in support of Alberta Special Olympians.

This year's event begins on June 6th at 1 pm when we begin the journey to Edmonton, non-stop. We have approximately 10 riders and numerous support staff, all from the local policing community; MHPS, Alberta Sheriffs and the RCMP.
