Seeking Auxiliary Police Applicants

Medicine Hat Police Service is currently accepting Auxiliary Police applications. Deadline is May 5th.

What is the Role of the Auxiliary Officer?
Auxiliary Officers are assigned to a Patrol Crew assisting them at all regular calls, checkstops and special events. Auxiliary members receive on-going training through-out their tenure with the Service.

How Do I Join?
The recruitment process includes the submission of a letter of intent, a personal resume, completing a lifestyles questionnaire, Personal Disclosure document (required), a physical test (PARE) and a polygraph test. It is the intent of the Medicine Hat Police Service to access two distinct groups of people. Those looking to use the Auxiliary Police Program as a stepping stone to employment in the law enforcement field, and those citizens of the community that were wishing to provide a community service.
