Euro Lottery Scam

This letter looks like it comes from the "Desk of the Vice President" of the "Euro Lotto Commission Board" in Glasgow, and is personally addressed. It tells you that you have won a prize and have been awarded a lump sum of cash. A cheque is enclosed and they ask you to deposit the cheque into your account and then send funds to their claims handler to show that the "tax" has been paid.

It's a scam! Of course the cheque is not valid and this is just another way for someone to try to get your money. If you receive a letter like this, or one similarly worded, your best response is NO RESPONSE.
