Last week members of the Medicine Hat Police Service Special Operations Unit wrapped up a month long drug investigation into one of the City's main drug traffickers. Police executed six search warrants in the City which resulted in a large quantity of drugs and cash seized which included: 45 ounces of cocaine, 25 pounds of marihuana, 4,200 tabs of ecstasy and $17,500 cash.

Estimated street value of drugs seized is $316,000. Police have charged a 21 year old male from Medicine Hat with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking,
Possession of Ecstasy for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Proceeds of Crime.

Police are still investigating this matter and further arrests and charges are to be made.

A viewing (for photo op.) will be held today at 2:00 pm at the Medicine Hat Police Service building.
