Members of the Medicine Hat Police Service conducted a traffic stop West of
the city limits on a 1989 Ford Mustang. As a result of the stop,
approximately 2 pounds of cannabis marihuana were seized from the 3 occupants
of the vehicle. Through the investigation police learned the drugs were
destined for sale on the streets of Medicine Hat.

East bound traffic on the Trans Canada Highway was delayed for approximately
20 minutes as police dealt with the scene.

2 males and a female have been charged with Possession for the Purpose of
trafficking a controlled substance. All are to appear in Medicine Hat
Provincial Court on November 14, 2006.
