ROBBERY WITH WEAPON: Somewhere Else Pub - 9 8th Street NW. Two males (38 &
27 years old) entered the bar wearing balaclavas and one of them brandished a
loaded shotgun. They proceeded to rob the till and in an attempt to flee
through the rear door the pair was apprehended by several patrons. Both
culprits were arrested on scene. The firearm along with ammunition and a knife
were seized. Both culprits were subsequently taken to the MHRH to receive
treatment for their injuries as a result of their apprehension by the patrons.
Both now face several charges including robbery, assault with a weapon,
forcible confinement, and committing an offence while wearing a disguise. File
is still under further investigation. Sgt Youngman
