On December 17th, 2006 Medicine Hat Police Service in conjunction with the Southern Alberta 'Green Team' executed the third successful marihuana grow operation search warrant within two weeks, which yielded 53 plants in various stages of growth.

Medicine Hat Police Service has entered into a concentrated effort with the Southern Alberta Joint Forces Team in efforts to locate and dismantle grows within the Southern region of the province. The latest warrant execution has resulted in three persons being charged with Production of a Controlled Substance and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana. All are to appear in Provincial court on March 8th, 2007.
