At approximately 22:30 hrs., July 31, 2007, members of the Medicine Hat Police Service were waved down by C.P.Rail employees reporting they observed a male injured and laying by the railway tracks just South of the Train Bridge adjacent to Riverside Park.

Further investigation and the discovery of physical evidence revealed that the 35 year old had been severely beaten in Riverside Park near the band shelter. The male had received major trauma to his head, face and upper torso by unknown person(s), and was transported red by Ambulance to the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.

To date, the male has not been able to communicate any of the events to Police.
The Police are asking for the public's assistance in resolving this crime. Should anyone have any information pertaining to this incident, please call the Medicine Hat Police Service at 529-8400, or call Crime Stoppers at 529-8477.
