On September 10, 2007 members of the Medicine Hat Police Service executed
three search warrants in relation to a drug trafficking ring within the city.
As a result four adults are presently in custody facing charges of Possession
of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possessing Proceeds
of Crime and Breach of Parole conditions. All four accused will be in court
Tuesday, September 11, 2007 to answer to these charges. A total of 12.5 ounces
of crack and powder cocaine with a street value of $28,500 and $6,900 cash was
seized by police.
