Police Donate to Southern Alberta MedicAir Society "Rotary Rescue"

The Medicine Hat Police Association (MHPA) has made a donation to the
Southern Alberta MedicAir Society "Rotary Rescue" fund. This donation was
made on behalf of the Alberta Federation of Police Associations (AFPA) which
represents municipal police officers across the Province.

The $5000 cash donation will be utilized toward funding the operation of the
helicopter throughout the Southeast corner of Alberta, which encompasses
20,000 square kilometers and includes 100,000 people. This is a worthwhile
cause that greatly enhances the chance of survival in victims of trauma or
cardiac arrest within this region, by getting victims to life saving medical
treatment in a timely fashion.

The AFPA makes donations on behalf of municipal police officers throughout
the year in each municipality belonging to the Association.
