During the 10 day period that the Medicine Hat Police Service operated its "OVER THE LIMIT - UNDER ARREST" campaign, the following statistics were recorded:

• Impaired drivers: 38 reported instances with 20 charges of impaired driving laid.
  
• 24 hour suspensions: 45
  
• 39 other Traffic Safety Act violations

OVER THE LIMIT - UNDER ARREST campaign on again in Medicine Hat.
On Tuesday November 6, 2007 the Medicine Hat Police Service resurrected it's Over the Limit - Under Arrest campaign against impaired drivers. Mother Against drunk Drivers participated in checkstops on Tuesday night until 3:00 am and the 6 member special enforcement team has operated each night since then.

November 6, 2007
- one impaired driver
- five 24 hr suspensions
- three violation tickets
- three violation warnings

November 7, 2007
- two impaired drivers
- three 24 hour suspensions
- 13 violation tickets
- 13 violation warnings

November 8, 2007
- four impaired drivers
- eight 24 hour suspensions
- nine violation tickets
- seven violation warnings

Impaired driving is totally preventable and is unacceptable on Medicine Hat's roadways.
