On the afternoon of November 10, 2007 members of the Medicine Hat Police Service Special Operations Unit conducted an undercover operation at a convenience store in Southridge.

As a result of the op., a 39 year old male of Medicine Hat was arrested for trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The subject is currently being held pending a bail hearing.
