On April 1, 2008 at approximately 9:21 am Police received a call threatening an explosion device, at an unknown YMCA in Medicine Hat. Police worked with YMCA Staff to evacuate and search the all buildings. The Notre Dame Academy middle school was evacuated because it is attached to the Southridge YMCA. Police ensured that all students and staff were evacuated successfully to the Holy Family Parish Church. No suspicious packages were located.
