On April 3, 2008 at approximately 9:54am Medicine Hat Police Service received a call from the Redcliff RCMP regarding a vehicle stolen from Suffield. The vehicle was spotted by MHPS on the Trans Canada Highway at 7 Street SW, police attempted to stop the black 2003 Ford F350 pickup at which time a high speed pursuit ensued. The pursuit occurred cross country between Holsom Road and the #3 Highway.Redcliff RCMP assisted MHPS with the pursuit until the offending vehicle became inoperable and was located on the Holsom Road at highway #523.

Three people were taken into custody, 1 female and 1 male from Calgary and 1 male from Red Deer, who was the driver. The driver was prohibited for driving for life, and charges include dangerous driving, evade Police, possession of stolen property over $5000, and bail violations. The male passenger in the vehicle was wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant. The pursuit was concluded at 10:42am.
