On April 12, 2008 at about 3:35PM a motorcycle travelling west on the exit ramp from the Trans Canada Highway to Gershaw Dr SW was truck from behind by a Ford Ranger truck. The 65 year old male driver of the motorcycle from Lethbridge and was transported to hospital with undertermined injuries.

The 20 year old driver of the pickup truck is in police custody and is facing charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm, dangerous driving causing bodily harm and exceeding .08. Total damage is estimated by police at about $13,000.
