The Medicine Hat Police Service and the family of Chief Gordon Earl held a BBQ
on Saturday, June 13, 2009 to raise funds for The Chief Earl Leadership Legacy
Foundation.
The fund was established to celebrate Chief Earl's contributions to the
community and to honour his memory.
The event was huge success with $12,863.80 being raised in donations and
proceeds. Four $100 scholarships were awarded to Grade 6 students who were
nominated from the local school for having demonstrated outstanding
leadership skills.
The Medicine Hat Police Service and the Earl family would like to thank
everyone who took part in this years event and look forward to hosting the BBQ
again next year! |
