On August 29, 2009 at about 11:30PM two males were involved in a physical
altercation in the 700 block of 5 St SE. This was followed by a further
altercation in a parking lot in the 700 block of 4 St SE. At one point during
the fight one of the males stabbed the other male with a knife. The 24 year
old victim is being treated for his non-life threatening wounds in hospital. A
26 year old man was later arrested by police and is facing charges of
Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Possessing a Weapon Dangerous to
the Public Peace and Bail violations. He is having a bail hearing on
2009-08-30.
A knife was also recovered by police.
