The Medicine Hat Police Service experienced a very busy weekend starting
Friday night. Police acted on appoximately 400 calls for service between
Friday
night and Sunday night. This included a variety of complaints which included
domestic disturbances, bar disturbances, breaching court conditions,
intoxicated indidividuals, assaults, arrest warrants and 6 impaired drivers.
Approximately 51 arrests were made regarding many of these complaints over the
weekend of which 27 of these arrests were on Saturday night. A mixture of good
weather conditions and alcohol were no doubt factors involved in many of the
arrests.
