On October 16, 2009 at approximately 8:25am Emergency Services responded to a
collision involving a Dodge Dakota truck and a school bus. The school bus
was northbound on Woodman Ave SE and failed to yield to the Dodge Dakota that
was westbound on Yuill St SE. The impact caused the school bus to flip onto
its driver side and come to rest north of the intersection. The three
children on the bus and the bus driver were not injured. A second female
adult passenger on the bus received minor injuries to her arms. All children
on the bus were belted in using child safety seats. The driver of the bus was
charged with failing to obey a yield sign. |
