Public Mischief
On the 17th of November 2009 at approximately 5:00 a.m. members of the
Medicine Hat Police Service attended to a residence in the Crestwood area of
Medicine Hat for a report of a lone male who had broke into a residence
occupied
by a female.
On the 17th of November, 2009 members of the Major Crime Section interviewed
the victim of the file as the nature of the complaint was extremely serious.
During the interview, the victim displayed several inconsistencies in
the recollection of this offence and later admitted to fabricating the entire
event.
Members of the Major Crime Section also interviewed the female regarding a
sexual assault compliant that she had made on May 26th, 2009 in regards to
amale sexually assaulting her in the area of the Medicine Hat Lodge. The
female also indicated at this time that she had also fabricated this offence.
MHPS 09-13980 refers
Police have charged the 26 year old female with two counts of Public Mischief
for making False Police complaints. The female has been released from custody
and is to appear in Medicine Hat Provincial Court on January 28th, 2010 to
answer to the allegations.
