The charged males are Jason Lightbown age 29 and Cody Reinhardt age 18.
Both males are charged with ROBBERY WITH A FIREARM, WEARING A DISGUISE, USING
A FIREARM IN THE COMMISSION OF AN OFFENCE, UNLAWFUL CONFINEMENT, BREAK AND
ENTER AND COMMIT ROBBERY AND POSSESSION OF ECSTASY FOR THE PURPOSE OF
TRAFFICKING AND POSSESSION OF CANNABIS MARIHUANA.
Lightbown is also charged with ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON AND POINTING A FIREARM.

On December 2nd, 2009 at approximately 6:00 a.m. Police responded to a
complaint of a Home Invasion Robbery in the 400 Block of 1st Ave SW. Two
masked males armed with a firearm entered this residence and demanded property
and money from the occupants of the residence. The suspects unlawfully
confined three occupants of the residence and assaulted the primary occupant
with the
weapon. The suspects then fled the area with the cash money and the
property.
The Major Crime Section is investigating the incident and has arrested two
males with assistance from the Medicine Hat Police Service TACT team. Members
of the Major Crimes Section executed a Search warrant in the 300 Block of 8th
St SW and located the clothing and the weapon used in the commission of the
offence. Police have also seized approximately 180 tablets of Ecstasy from the
accused and located items stolen during the Home Invasion.
The two males are to be charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Ecstasy, Unlawful Confinement, Robbery with a Firearm, Pointing a Firearm
, Assault with a weapon, Using a Firearm in the commission of an offence, wear
a disguise in the commission of an offence, and Break and Enter and Commit an
Indictable Offence.
Both males are expected to appear for a Bail Hearing in Provincial Court on Dec
2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The names of the males will be released when formal
charges have been processed.
Total Value of the drugs seized is estimated at $2700.00

Robbery / Home Invasion
On December 2nd, 2009 at approximately 6:00 a.m. Police responded to a
complaint of a Home Invasion Robbery in the 400 Block of 1st Ave SW. Two
males entered this residence carrying weapons and demanding property from the
occupants of the residence. The suspects later fled the area. The Major Crime
Section is currently investigating the file.
