An update on the MVC Injury that occurred on August 27, 2010 at approximately
9:45 am at the intersection of 8 St NE and 2 Ave NE. The elderly male that
was struck by a car during that collision passed away late Saturday evening.
The name of the deceased will not be released as per the family's wishes. The
collision is still under investigation at this time.

August 27, 2010
At approx. 0945 this morning an elderly male was occupying a crosswalk at the
intersection of 8th ST NE and 2nd Ave NE. A car making a right hand turn from
2nd Ave NE onto 8th St NE did not see the pedestrian and struck him. The
pedestrian received minor injuries at the scene, but has since
developedcomplications and has been airlifted to Calgary. The collision is
still under investigation by the Medicine Hat Police Service.
